Julie Field is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Illinois (License No. 149.022928). She earned her master’s degree in social work from the University of Illinois at Chicago and she holds a bachelor of arts in sociology from the University of Iowa.

Julie has over 10 years of experience providing therapy to children, adolescents, and adults. She started her career as a school social worker and has been working in private practice for four years. Having struggled with anxiety herself, Julie understands what it’s like to be a client as well as a therapist. She strives to provide a non-judgmental, empathic, and safe environment for clients to process their feelings and work through their struggles. She specializes in working with clients going through life transitions as well as those with autism, ADHD, anxiety, and depression. Julie has a client centered therapeutic approach because she understands that her clients are the experts of their own unique life experiences. She uses CBT in her practice, focusing on positive reframing techniques and helping the client recognize their strengths.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, taking her dog for walks, exploring Chicago and cross-stitching.
